A day in the life of Melissa Stites

Pronouns:

she/her

Position:

Senior Graphic Designer

Time at the clearing:

5 years

I'm a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan who likes to live life to its fullest, have a good time in any way that I can, travel anywhere and everywhere as much as possible (although, maybe not as much in our current state, but soon!), and eat amazing food along the way.

My Typical Day:

Overview
  • I've been working at The Clearing for just over a year, and I'm happy to say I've gotten lucky enough to work on a lot of different client work. My main responsibilities include creating and designing one-pagers, decks, and working side-by-side with my coworkers to meet the design needs of a wide variety of our federal clients.

Morning
  • Daily morning sync to delegate work and configure our day-to-day responsibilities. I usually go heads-down in the morning as my productivity is at its highest.

Afternoon
  • My afternoons are usually full of meetings, but if I'm freed up, I typically work heads-down or take a quick lunch or Peloton break.

Evening
  • If I don't have meetings, so I finish up my work around 5:30 p.m., give or take on the day and the workload.
