President and Chief Executive Officer
When people ask what I do, I tell them I’m the CEO of The Clearing, a people-centered management consulting firm. What I don’t often have time to explain is that I’m also a builder, storyteller, and scientist. As a builder, I’m extremely proud of what we’re creating at The Clearing, pioneering a different way of thinking about and executing change and transformation efforts. As a storyteller, I promote the success of our clients and The Clearing’s role in that, and I love when that story attracts great talent to our company. As a scientist, I study how the advice we provide to our clients can best be applied to our own organization to create a rewarding experience for our team members. On top of that, I have the privilege of digging in on what I’m most passionate about: the design of organizational development practices and their implementation into the operating and management environments in which today’s leaders must survive and thrive. To that end, I have supported leaders across the Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), American Red Cross, Small Business Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Administrative Office of the Courts, and various global financial institutions. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington College and hold a Master of Arts in Whole Systems Design and Organizational Systems Renewal from Antioch University. On the weekends, you’ll either find me in the woods (I love to hike and camp), trying out new forms of exercise, or enjoying Mediterranean food at some of my favorite spots in Washington, D.C.
