A day in the life of Rebecca Gaynor

Senior Principal

Time at the clearing:

0 years

I’m a consensus builder in all aspects of life. At home, it’s getting my five- and seven-year-old kids (and my husband) to agree on our Friday night movie. At The Clearing, it’s about partnering with leaders and their teams to create a unified vision, facilitate buy-in, and drive change within diverse stakeholder groups. During my 15 years in consulting, I’ve found my passion in strategic communication and change management for organizational, technology, and workplace transformation initiatives — with a focus on ensuring diverse perspectives are heard. I’m proud to work for a firm that puts people at the center of its processes, and I have used that approach to successfully manage programs for government agencies including the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Justice (DOJ), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and General Services Administration (GSA), as well as regional governments and a range of organizations in the commercial energy, public safety, and non-profit sectors. When I’m not building consensus on family movie night or engaging stakeholders around a shared vision and call to action, you’ll find me outdoors with my family, walking my dog, indulging in a good book, or watching a few episodes of reality television. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from James Madison University, hold a Master of Arts degree in Corporate and Non-Profit Communication from Johns Hopkins University and am a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
