A day in the life of Joy Langley

Senior Principal

Time at the clearing:

0 years

In my role as Senior Principal, I’m privileged to bring more than 20 years of experience serving government and private sector clients as a strategist, leader, facilitator, and advising consultant. Most recently I had the honor to support a contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where I provided research project design and implementation, strategy, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and project management consulting services. Prior to joining The Clearing, I was in-house with Expedia during their M&A with VRBO and Lime where I created the go-to-market strategy for U.S. Operations. I also developed change management strategies, and designed, and led leadership development programs that covered a wide range of topics including Workforce Resilience, Leadership Through Transition, and Fostering Workplace Innovation. I am a LUMA-Certified Human-Centered Designer. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ithaca College, a Master of Arts in Political Management from The George Washington University, and two Master of Business Administration degrees from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management and Queens University’s Smith School of Business. When I’m not working, I’m playing, coaching, and refereeing soccer, cooking for family and friends, and enjoying Washington DC’s rich arts and culture scene, particularly the Kennedy Center’s Washington National Opera, a company I love and where I was a founder and past Chair of the young professional affinity group, Generation O (now BravO).
