What attracted you to TC?
The people and the culture. I enjoy working with brilliant people from all walks of life. I appreciate the value we bring to our clients and the diversity in the type of work we have the privilege to do. Our work at TC aligns with my interests and previous work experience. The Clearing is a firm where I can grow and develop professionally, which is important for me as a lifelong learner. TC offers the full package.
What keeps you at TC?
TC focuses on my personal growth and development. I am challenged and supported in my role, and there are different opportunities that align with my interests ranging from project management, organization development, leadership coaching, and facilitation. Although some work days are busier and more challenging than others, I have a good support system among colleagues, management, and teammates. At TC, I am seen, heard, and know I am valued for my unique set of skills and talents. I continue to stay at TC because I am able to make a difference in the world, while living and working authentically. I don’t have to be someone I’m not. I continue to find joy in the company, the work, and the people. I am at home being at TC.
What is your typical TC day like?
It varies. It often consists of numerous client meetings that I am leading or facilitating. There’s a lot of time that goes into designing and preparing to facilitate meetings and engagements. There are many action items that I track and communicate back to team members. Meeting planning and design or facilitation takes most of the day, and then I schedule heads-down time to prepare for deliverables. My day also consists of a lot of project management; planning ahead, setting goals, targets, and delivery expectations. I often check in with team members as a primary project lead offering one-on-one support and helping to remove any barriers that stand in the way of their success. My goal is to ensure their work and experiences are aligning with their individual career aspirations. Throughout the week, there are a lot of client touch points to ensure expectation alignment and meeting of timelines.
