Washington, D.C., October, 20, 2017 - Federal Computer Week (FCW) has named Anna-Ruth Beckman among its 2017 Rising Star Award winners. FCW’s Rising Star Award recognizes individuals in the federal IT community who go above and beyond their job description. Recipients of the award must have less than 10 years of experience in the federal IT community and are judged on their accomplishments and the impact of those accomplishments.
Ms. Beckman has been a consultant at The Clearing, Inc, a management consulting firm based in Washington D.C., for the past two years. She works with clients on business process efficiencies, customer experience improvement, and strategic planning and implementation. Prior to joining The Clearing, Ms. Beckman served as a policy analyst where she designed software application requirements, led user testing, and provided policy guidance to technical teams. Ms. Beckman graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Management.
“Anna Ruth has presented a whole new model for young professionals and what the next generation of cross-sector partnership looks like,” commented Tara Carcillo, President & CEO of The Clearing. “The uplifting outcome of all this is that both parties grow in their appreciation of what it takes to lead across sectors, and together they spark ideas in the minds of others who care deeply about the success of our government today.”
“Each year, FCW recognizes individuals who are early in their federal IT careers but already having an outsized impact," FCW Editor-in-Chief Troy K. Schneider said. "The 21 women and men [recognized this year] are a great reminder of the talent that's being attracted to federal IT -- and the next generation of leaders that is emerging.”
The Rising Star award recipients were recognized at a gala on October 19 and are featured in the October issue of FCW.
